Dog ear cleaning - only
Cleaned with a liquid cleaner and deorderizer, hair removal from inside of ear.
Service Description
Keeping your dog’s ears clean and free of excess hair isn’t just about grooming —it’s a vital part of their overall health and comfort. Here’s why it matters: Why Clean Ears Matter - Prevents Infections: Dirt, wax, and moisture trapped in the ear canal can lead to bacterial or yeast infections, especially in breeds with floppy ears or dense ear hair. - Reduces Odor: Built-up debris can cause unpleasant smells, often a sign of infection or inflammation. - Improves Hearing: Excess hair and wax can block sound, making it harder for your dog to hear clearly. Why Hair Removal Is Important - Promotes Airflow: Removing excess hair allows better ventilation, keeping the ear canal dry and less prone to infection. - Easier Cleaning: Hair-free ears are easier to inspect and clean, helping you spot issues early. - Prevents Wax Buildup: Hair can trap wax and debris, increasing the risk of blockages and discomfort. Best Practices - Regular Checks: Inspect your dog’s ears weekly for redness, discharge, or foul odor. - Gentle Cleaning: Use a vet-approved ear cleaner and cotton balls—never cotton swabs, which can push debris deeper. A liquid ear cleaner and deorderizer will be used first to remove excess wax and dirt from the dog's ear. A cotton pad will assist with drying the ear flap and ear canal prior to adding the ear powder. Ear powder is used to dry-up any remaining wax on the hair follicle, it is medicated and will assist with any irritation caused from the removal of the hair.
